About Us
We are a blended Christian family of 15. We moved here in December of 2004 from Ontario to begin our farming adventure. Both Robert and Laura lost their first spouses to cancer and, having gone through a similarly difficult and painful time with their families, found solace in each other and were married in December of 2001. Laura brought six children to the new family: Nathan, Bradley, Brittany, Nancy, Gillian and Greggory. Robert brought three children of his own: Brianna, Devon and Jenaice. Since then, the Lord has been pleased to add to our family three little boys (Timothy, Luke and Elijah) and one little girl (Liana). Together we labor and enjoy the blessings, busyness and bounty of Island farm life, and seek to share the best portions of it with you, our guests!
During our time here, we have operated a dairy farm, and have engaged in the process of converting a conventional farm to a certified organic farm. This gave us the distinction of being the first certified milk producers on P.E.I. in September of 2007. We have recently scaled back the milk production aspect of our farm operation and at the moment have four milking cows. This supplies our family's needs and also provides farm fresh dairy products for guests of Robinson's Homestead Getaway; our Certified Organic products are also available for sale. We are working to make our homestead as self-sufficient as possible.
